Arbour Court care home has been praised by a watchdog.

The Stockport-based Arbour Court care home has received a 'good' rating from the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI).

Arbour Court, which is part of the Barchester Healthcare Group, provides specialist dementia care within its Memory Lane Community and also comprises of a brand new premier facility - the Ashwood Suite, which features larger more luxurious rooms.

Speaking about the care home's positive feedback, a spokesperson, Andrea Atkinson, said that staff at the home were proud that their hard work and dedication had been recognised by the CSCI.

"We pride ourselves on providing the highest quality care and we respect and celebrate the individuality of all our residents," she added.

This follows news that the Beaumont Stamford Bridge care home in east Yorkshire also received a 'good' rating from the regulator last month.

Some 92 per cent of the care home's residents deemed it a happy place to live.
