Annual London festival to promote disability rights

The annual 'Liberty' festival kicks off in London tomorrow championing the rights of those people with disabilities in the community.

The UK's biggest outdoor free festival that champions the rights of those that are disabled hits London tomorrow.

Supported and organised by the Mayor of London, 'Liberty' will feature an exciting mix of music, arts, dance and aerial performances, as well as family arts workshops, stalls and displays.

Last year's event attracted over 15,000 people and this year is expected to be bigger and better.

Acts that will take the stage include, Minika Green, the Sign Dance Collective, Blue Eyed Soul, Caroline Parker and the Heart 'n' Soul Club Posse.

Mayor of London Ken Livingstone will also address the crowd, along with Trish Pashley, chief executive of Greater London Action on Disability, and Christopher Holmes, commissioner of the Disability Rights Commission.

The fun and entertainment kicks off in Trafalgar Square at 1pm tomorrow, and concludes around 6pm.
